Clay, a medium that can be soft and rough, malleable or rigid, fragile or
solid, enables me to express an inner state, a movement, a form, or an
instant that can be equally found in my photographic works.
It transports me, resists me, and transforms me as time goes by. It
fascinates me. An inexhaustible fount of creativity.
I work clay in two different ways : sculpture and ceramic.
At the moment my sculptures reflect questions about "women in all states and
the women in movement", a humanist regard in our rapidly evolving world.
The vases have a raw, mineral and metallic aspect, which connect me to
nature, regardless or whether they contain flowers or not. A vase can be
decorative or functionnal. It welcomes water, a flower or flowers, bringing
a hint of poetry to our everyday lives. |
